Happy New Year DeSoto Students, Parents and Staff!

I wanted to take a moment to welcome you back.  We have just wrapped up an exciting and rewarding first half of the school year, and with our collective efforts, 2019 promises to be just as exciting and productive.

As with any school year, the spring semester always proves to be a whirlwind, with tons of extra-curricular and athletic events surrounding the end of year state assessments. Please let me reassure you that caring for our students, ensuring their learning and celebrating their graduation will continue to be our #1 mission.  However, even with our best endeavors in the classroom, as always, we will continue to need the commitment and support from parents, community members, and business leaders – to help our students achieve their potential.  We all have a vested stake in their futures and the growth of our district.

We realize that communication is key to a strong partnership, so please continue to keep up with all things going on in the district by liking us on Facebook and following us on Twitter

In keeping with our mission statement:  DeSoto Serves, we are here to serve our students and look forward to working together on their behalf during the remainder of the 2019 school year.

For Students’ Sake,

Clay J. Corley
Superintendent of Schools
