Superintendent Message 05.13.19
Posted 5/13/19

The last few weeks of school are busy for all, filled with projects, events, celebrations, and important planning for the summer months and beyond. As the school year draws to a close, I would like to celebrate every individual who has made this year successful and has played an important role in the lives of our students.

Our teachers, staff and administrators welcome students day in and day out, they lead students in their learning journeys, they support families and their fellow educators, and they also dedicate so much of their time to the well-being of every child. I’d also like to acknowledge our families, whose support of our schools are invaluable to making every school year a successful one.

While the school year draws to a close, it’s important to remember that a student’s learning does not end on the last day of school. Through family vacations and organized activities, the summer break is full of opportunities to continue that learning.

For interested families, there are several summer camps and programs offered throughout the community. Our students also have the ability to access many of the online programs they use during the school year. For the first time ever, we will launch the Superintendent’s Summer Academic Challenge, aimed at improving students’ fundamental learning skills throughout the summer months. Please check out the Challenge on our website.

For Students’ Sake,

Clay J. Corley
