Mrs. Amanda LaFollette

Mrs. Amanda LaFollette is a 1993 graduate of Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She later received her Masters in Education in 2005 from Northwestern State University.

She became a proud Mansfield Wolverine 18 years ago.  She began her Desoto Parish career at Mansfield High School in 2002 as a math teacher.  She was twice named Mansfield High School and Desoto Parish Teacher of the Year.  In 2012 Mrs. LaFollette became a National Board Certified Teacher, and in 2015 she was named a Louisiana State Finalist for the Presidential Award for Math and Science Teaching.  After fourteen years in the classroom, Mrs. LaFollette transitioned to serving as a Master Teacher at both MHS and MMS.  After 4 years as a Master Teacher, Mrs. LaFollette accepted the principal position at Mansfield Elementary School.

Mrs. LaFollette treasures all of her Wolverine experiences in the classroom, extra-curricular sponsorship, and in administrative roles and believes that these experiences have prepared her to be a strong, well-rounded educational leader for students and staff. She looks forward to building the foundation for Wolverine Pride that will continue to grow in our students as they progress through our great Mansfield schools.
