ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL

The following arrival and dismissal procedures help keep our students safe. Please follow them each day.

Morning Arrival: Students must be dropped off through the carline at the front entrance (circle drive), no earlier than 7:00 a.m. Remain in your vehicle and wait for a staff member to let your child out of the car. All vehicles must use the carline. Families may not enter at the traffic light and park in the parking lot to walk students inside as an alternative to waiting in the carline.

Carline duty ends at 7:35 a.m. If staff members are no longer outside when you reach the drop-off area, pull up to the curb, exit your vehicle, and walk your child into the school. Make sure your child is received by a staff member before leaving. Students must never be dropped off to enter the building alone when staff members are not present, even if the tardy bell has not rung. An open door does not mean supervised drop-off is still available. Students dropped off without an adult walking them inside after carline duty ends will be marked tardy, even if it is before the tardy bell.

Afternoon Dismissal: All vehicles must use the single car pickup line and keep their school-issued car tag clearly visible. A staff member will enter the car tag number into the dismissal app. Drivers should then pull around as directed, remain in their vehicles, and wait for staff to load their children.

All cars for morning and afternoon carline, enter the road beside North DeSoto Upper Elementary to drop off or pick up at North DeSoto Lower Elementary. The car line road beside North DeSoto Lower Elementary is the entrance for Middle School and Upper Elementary's car line. High School Car Line enters from Highway 171.
