DeSoto Parish Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Coach Patrick Lindsey as the new Assistant Principal of Logansport High School. A seasoned educator, coach, and leader, Coach Lindsey brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student success to his new role.
A native of Los Angeles, California, Coach Lindsey’s professional journey spans several Louisiana school systems, including Claiborne Parish and Caddo Parish. His educational career has included roles as a physical education teacher, head boys and girls basketball coach at Homer High School, Pineview High School, Woodlawn High School, and Northwood High School, and Assistant Principal of Discipline at Southwood High School.
Most recently, Coach Lindsey served as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director of Red River High School, where his visionary leadership earned him the honor of being named the 2025 Louisiana High School Athletic Association’s District V Athletic Director of the Year. His leadership philosophy—centered on being firm, fair, and consistent—has created safe, engaging learning environments that support both academic and personal growth.
“ We are excited to have Mr. Lindsey at LHS. His experience as an administrator and coach will serve the community of LHS well,” said Director of Administration, Brandon Burback.
Coach Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with a Minor in Coaching from Grambling State University and a Master of Arts in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. He lives by the principle, “Faith without works is dead,” a reflection of his deeply rooted belief in purposeful action and commitment to student achievement.
Coach Lindsey is supported in his educational journey by his wife, Katina Lindsey, a devoted 30-year veteran educator. Their son, Justice Lindsey, has followed in their footsteps and currently teaches and coaches in Katy, Texas.
Reflecting on his new role, Coach Lindsey shared, “I’m incredibly excited for the journey ahead—this is not just a job for me, it’s a calling. I’m ready to build, uplift, and lead with purpose every single day.”
