Mansfield High School Seniors Alicia Williams and Adrian Green were recently named as recipients of the Belinda Wyatt Breast Cancer Awareness Scholarship.
Wyatt, an 8-year breast cancer survivor, annually provides at least one scholarship for an MHS student. Breast cancer awareness events are held throughout the year to raise money to support deserving students in continuing their education. "I like to give back to the community," stated Wyatt, "and I was pleased that enough money was raised to provide scholarships for two students this year."
Alicia Williams, the daughter of Archie and Debbie Williams, is an honor student at MHS who plans to attend ULM to major in Medical Laboratory Science.
Adrian Green,also an honor student at MHS, is the son of Cathy Jenkins and Michael Green. He plans to attend Houston Baptist University to major in Secondary Education.
