This week’s Mansfield High School Student Spotlight goes to Kentraylan Spencer. Kentraylan was nominated by one of his teachers, Ms. Moore. Ms. Moore says, “Kentralyn Spencer is in my Algebra 1 class and has been a leader since day 1. Kentralyn would join google meets and participate in activities back when we were in homerooms, although there was a lot of noise and chaos in the background, he still managed to do all his work. Kentralyn has worked really hard this year and I am so proud of him!! He is a great student and a wonderful young man. He has such a pure heart and has always shown an outstanding character.” At this time, there is an administrator in Kentraylan’s class with Ms. Moore, presenting him with a Sonic gift card and a bag full of snacks from the administration here at Mansfield High School. Congratulations, Kentraylan! Thank you for being a stand out freshman!
This week’s Mansfield High School Teacher Spotlight goes to Ms. York. Ms. York teaches Technical Writing and English II. She also serves as our Cheer Coach. Ms. York was nominated by Ms. Moore. Ms. Moore says, “Ms. York has done an amazing job taking on the head cheerleading coach position. I have seen her do more work in the past few weeks than others have done all year. Ms. York makes sure things are clean, organized and in order. She holds all her girls to a very high standard and pushes them to be the best they can be in the classroom and in the gym. I have seen Ms. York do workouts, dances and really mold these girls in the few weeks she has worked with them. She works extremely hard. Be ready! This will be the best cheer team to date. At this time, there is an administrator in Ms. York’s classroom, presenting her with a $25 gift card to Texas Roadhouse from the administration here at Mansfield High School. Congratulations, Ms. York and welcome to the Wolverine Family!
