The April bond plan is $47.5 million less than the November 2023 plan. Many items that were in the 2023 bond plan have been eliminated in the new proposal to better align with the community’s desire to focus on academics.

Mrs. Rhoads and Mr. Saverino support our teachers in professional growth and students in school and out of school. Thank you for all that you do! #NDHS4L

Today we would like to recognize Mrs. Tori Morgan. She is our school secretary, but she is so much more. Besides her normal duties with the school, Tori goes out of her way to get things done for everyone in the school, but has helped softball with any problem that arises. She takes care of our girls a lot of times in her own free time. She is always available when the coaching staff has an emergency or has a last minute change of schedule that needs to be covered. She is a true example of a selfless worker and we honor her today for being #TheDeSotoDifference!

Featured Frequently Asked Question: Doesn't the district offer universal PreK? Can’t everyone attend PreK?
DeSoto Parish Schools are proud to offer Universal PreK, but sadly due to space constraints in District 2, while anyone can apply to be on the waiting list for PreK, we can no longer guarantee admission into PreK and are operating with a waitlist. A three-year-old option was available during the 2023-24 school year, but because of increased demand for four-year-old PreK and Kindergarten classrooms, the program has been eliminated for the 2024-25 school year. The bond plan includes expansions at the lower elementary to be able to offer additional sections of preschool and eliminate the waitlist.
