Dear DeSoto Families,
As part of our continued effort to improve communication between schools and families, DeSoto Parish Schools will transition from Apptegy Rooms to JCampus Connect within the JCampus Student App as our official teacher-parent communication platform beginning with the 2026–2027 school year. We will no longer use Rooms for teacher communication after the conclusion of this school year.
This change will provide families with a more streamlined and convenient experience by combining classroom communication and student information into one easy-to-use app.
What This Means for Families
At the end of the current school year, Rooms will no longer be available through the DeSoto Parish Schools mobile app. Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, families will use the JCampus Student App to communicate with teachers and access student information.
Through the JCampus Student App, parents and guardians will be able to:
Communicate directly with teachers
View grades, attendance, schedules, and student information
Receive school and classroom updates
Monitor student progress in one centralized location
We encourage all parents and guardians to download the JCampus Student App in the App Store or Google Play Store if you have not done so already, this will make for a smoother transition prior to the start of the new school year.

If you already have a JCampus Portal account:
Download the JCampus Student App
Select DeSoto Parish Schools as your district
Log in using your current portal username and password
Need a Student Portal Account?
If you do not currently have a parent portal account, please review the following resources. You can set up your account through the mobile app by using 2-factor verification or using your PSN ID (usually the last five digits of your student’s social security number.)

Our DeSoto Parish Hub will be updated with JCampus App resources and tutorials by mid June, be on the look out for update announcements during the summer.
