Today, Friday, October 30th, our Beginning Band students had their first performance of the year at our Beginning Band & Beignets information concert! Students performed for their families during their band classes and showed off everything they’ve learned so far, from proper posture and playing their instruments to reading music! We even had several students perform solos for the very first time! They also got to sit with their families and celebrate their progress with beignets and all sorts of breakfast goodies. A huge thank you to our band parents for putting this all together! The students have worked SO hard and did such a wonderful job! They even learned how to “spookify” their music by changing it from major to minor keys, along with playing some fun Halloween songs to get everyone in the spooky spirit for the weekend! We are so proud of how far these young musicians have come already and can’t wait to hear how much more they grow between now and our ➡️Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 15th at 6:00 PM!⬅️

Please help us congratulate our NDMS 4-H members that participated in the DeSoto Parish 4-H pumpkin decorating context! They did great and we had awesome winners!
