Welcome

Dear Mansfield High School Families:

Welcome to the 2020-21 academic school year! I know that school ended abruptly for you in March, and we are living in unprecedented times. However, we are now able to resume school. Our entire faculty and staff have been working diligently to be prepared for your return.

If you are on โ€œAโ€ (Green) schedule, your first day to report to the school building physically is on Wednesday, August 5th. If you are on โ€œBโ€ (White) schedule, your first day to report to the school building physically is on Thursday, August 6th. No students are to report to the physical building on Friday, August 7th , as this is a virtual learning day for all students. Some things may look different, but we will review all procedures with you on your first day back, either face-to-face or virtually.

The instructional school day is 7:55 a.m.-3:20 p.m. For the safety and health of all, no students will be allowed into the building until 7:25 a.m. daily; this includes car riders, drivers, and bus riders. No students are to be dropped off until 7:25 a.m.

Please ensure that you log into each of your Google Classrooms for all of your classes on a daily basis and complete all assignments by the due dates for attendance and grading purposes, including on Fridays. Please keep in mind that you are engaging in learning five days a week, just on a hybrid model (some days virtual and some days face-to-face), unless you chose the 100% virtual option (you will receive instruction 100% online). If you are on โ€œAโ€ schedule, you will attend school physically on Mondays and Wednesdays. If you are on โ€œBโ€ schedule, you will attend school physically on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Your individual teachers will be reaching out to you early next week to join your Google Classrooms. Should you need assistance, your teachers are just a Google Meet or an email away. Attached to this letter, you will find your student schedule.

I realize that some of you may be nervous, while some of you may be excited. Regardless, we are very happy to have you back with us, whether it is physically in the building on our A/B hybrid schedule or virtually. I am so blessed to serve as your Principal! We will venture through these uncharted waters together with great Wolverine Pride; remember: WE ARE MANSFIELD!

Respectfully,

Anesha Ross

MHS Principal
