Good morning, Wolverines! Today is a very special day for our seniors. Senior students will be awarded their honor cords. -Senior Honor Cord Ceremony 1:00 PM in the New Gym This event is invitation only and not open to the public (students and families have already been notified) as this is a very special event for these students and their families. If you are invited, dressy attire is required. No jeans of any kind, crocs, flip flops or head coverings at all. ✨Teacher Spotlight ✨ Our fourth Mansfield High School Teacher Spotlight goes to Mrs. Parker. Mrs. Parker teaches Math ACT Prep, Algebra II, Geometry and serves as one of our Dual Enrollment facilitators. She was nominated by one of her students, Zykerria Wilson. Zykerria says, “I'm nominating Mrs. Parker because she is the best teacher that I had all year. She calls on me to answer the question that she has on the board. When I need help with my work, she comes to help me. I love Mrs. Parker. She’s always welcoming me to class each morning. She is the best teacher ever. I love her so much.” Thank you, Mrs. Parker for greeting our students throughout the day. You may think it is a small deed, but it means the world to them and contributes to an improved culture on campus. At this time, there is an administrator in Mrs. Parker’s class where Zykerria is presenting her with some of her favorite things, courtesy of Mansfield High School administrators. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. invites the top five African American senior females at Mansfield High School to apply for a scholarship to be awarded to the post secondary institution they choose to attend. 🖤 Student and Teacher Spot Light 🖤 Our third Mansfield High School Teacher Spotlight goes to Mrs. Kennedy. Mrs. Kennedy teaches Life and Study Skills here. She was nominated by one of her students, Allie Colbert. Allie says, “My name is Allie Colbert and l would like to submit Ms. Kennedy for teacher spotlight. Ms. Kennedy deserves the teacher spotlight because she is the best teacher ever and she works hard to help people.” Thank you, Mrs. Kennedy for showering our students with love and exceptional care everyday. What you do is difficult work! At this time, there is an administrator in Mrs. Kennedy’s class where Allie is presenting her with some of her favorite things, courtesy of Mansfield High School administrators. Congratulations, Mrs. Kennedy! We are blessed to have you here at MHS . You are always working so hard and smiling while doing so. Your laugh is pretty contagious as well! Our third Mansfield High School Student Spotlight is Bertram. Betram is a junior here at Mansfield High School. He is our current foreign exchange student, and we all love having Betram here with us! He was nominated by his Geometry teacher, Mrs. Parker. Mrs. Parker says, “I would like to nominate Bertram Ottosen for student spotlight. I've had the privilege to have him in 3 of my courses this year. Since he has entered MHS, he has made sure to take advantage of every opportunity and experience available. Academically he is bright, studious and persevering. Never afraid to ask for help, he excels in all of his courses. In addition, his great personality has made many good friends. It will be a sad day for Mansfield High School when Bertram has to go back home.” At this time, there is an administrator in Bertram’s class with Mrs. Parker, receiving some treats from the administration here at Mansfield High School. Congratulations, Bertram! We all love having you here with us! Your smile lights up our entire school building. We are so blessed to have such good and happy students like you at MHS! #WolverineStrong
