𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 At this time I would like to recognize our April Student Spotlights. I received an email from Coach McCullough. He says, “I am thrilled to spotlight three exceptional students, Aaniyah Cleveland, Laquentae Anderson, and Gavin Howard, who invariably display the qualities we value most at Mansfield High School. They arrive to class prepared and eager to learn, always with a smile and a positive attitude. They listen attentively and are active participants in class. They consistently put forth their best effort to complete all assignments and tasks. These students have shown exponential growth from the beginning of the year until now and are shining examples of perseverance and determination. They are shining examples of what it means to be a Wolverine. They are a joy to teach and make MHS a better place.” Thank you to these students for displaying the CORE values of being a Mansfield High Wolverine. Each of these students will create a $25 Amazon shopping list with Mrs. Allen.

𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 At this time I would like to recognize our April Teacher Spotlight. I received multiple emails about this teacher. Kaitlyn McDaniel says, “I nominate Baby Z because no matter how hard of a time his AP students give him, he never gives up on us. He has also helped me make it throughout my time in high school motivating me to keep pushing everyday. He always has a great attitude, and he comes ready to teach everyday. WE love you Baby Z!! Myami Howard says, “Good morning, Ms. Ross. I would like to nominate Baby Z as a teacher spotlight. Without his persistence I wouldn't be going to college. He kept me motivated all year long even when I tried to give up multiple times.” For these reasons and many more, Mr. Scott Ziegler is our Mansfield High School’s April Teacher Spotlight. Mr. Ziegler has been a blessing to Mansfield High School for over 21 years. We cannot thank him enough for his dedication and wonderful attitude he has everyday! He exemplifies all of our Wolverine CORE values…Caring, Perseverant, Respectful, Servant Leader and Team Player. At this time, Kaitlyn and Myami are presenting Mr. Ziegler with some of his favorite things, compliments of Principal Ross, Mrs. O and Coach Burch.

𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 At this time, I would like to recognize our March Mansfield High Staff Spotlights, Mr. Jarvis Franklin and Mr. Mervin Franklin. They were nominated by Mrs. Kennedy. I just want to express my sincere gratitude and admiration for the outstanding contributions of our custodial staff members, Mr. J. Franklin and Mr. M. Franklin. They embody the core values of Mansfield High School and Desoto Parish by fostering a positive, caring community and making a tangible difference in the lives of our students. I specifically want to highlight the positive impact they have had on one of my most "at promise" students, Camarrion (CJ). Over the past few days, they have gone above and beyond their regular duties and taken CJ under their wing to provide him with extra support and a sense of belonging. Despite their many responsibilities, they have taken the time to encourage, listen to and mentor this young man. They could have easily said they did have the time, but they saw a need and gladly helped. Their gentle yet firm approach has been remarkably effective in helping CJ take ownership of his learning and behavior. He genuinely looks forward to his interactions with them each day, and I have witnessed a significant improvement in his attitude and engagement. It truly takes a village and I am incredibly grateful that Mr. J. Franklin and Mr. M. Franklin are members of our Mansfield village. Although they are not teachers in the classroom they help provide invaluable life lessons to our students. We are blessed to have Mr. Jarvis Franklin and Mr. Mervin Franklin with us at Mansfield High School.
