North DeSoto (District no. 2) residents will consider a bond to address growth across the area. The proposed new high school assures space for this growth, and will ensure the efficient use of existing facilities, including an expanded and renovated Lower Elementary for more Prekindergarten classrooms and multi-use spaces.

Community growth is driving the bond proposal in North DeSoto. A new high school will not only help the district meet expected growth, but will also provide a dedicated performing arts and career and technical education wings, a new turf practice field and an indoor multipurpose facility that will accommodate band, cheer, dance line and JROTC. In addition there will be a new training facility for wrestling and a new baseball/softball complex.

Congratulations to NDMS’s own Zaylon who was selected as one of the 28 best baseball players in the country to participate in the Perfect Game 11 year Select Fest held in Georgia last week. Two teams of 14, East and West. Zaylon and East teammates won 15-13. Way to go!
