Tristen did an awesome job leading FCA this morning! He started with a powerful quote from his pastor: “You see my glory, but you don’t know my story.” This really got us thinking about how important it is to be kind to each other, because we might not know what someone else is going through. Tristen also talked about sin and reminded us that our past mistakes don’t define who we are. He encouraged Griffins to try and avoid making the same mistakes again. Shout out to Tristen for kicking off FCA with such a strong message and inspiring us to be better! #growingtogether

August's qualification is ACHIEVE. Students chosen as August High Flyers are successful reaching or accomplishing a goal, grade, or result, especially through effort.

Today was our Mighty Griffin Band's first help day for All State Honor Band Auditions, which will be held in the fall. The All State Middle School Honor Band is comprised of the best middle school musicians who prepare multiple scales, 2 difficult songs, and perform a song they’ve never played. Some of our Middle Griffin musicians will audition on multiple instruments! Their audition recordings are then judged by professional musicians and educators across the state, scored, and students will be notified if they are selected. If they do make the All State Middle School Honor Band, they will perform January in New Orleans where they’ll spend days rehearsing incredible music, attend concerts, eat great food, and experience more Louisiana music and culture. Good luck to these Griffins and others who were unable to attend as they prepare for their audition!
Our Lady Griffins did a great job in the Calvary Volleyball tournament with 6/7th grades advancing to a third round before falling short and the 8th grader making it to the Championship game against Calvary, but coming up short. Way to go, Lady Griffins!
