The Tigers kicked off the start of LEAP testing with a fun, energetic Pep Rally today. The students and teachers had some friendly competitions and were given words of encouragement as they prepare to tackle this test!! Best of luck to our students and Go Tigers!!! 🐯





Due to the Lady Tigers advancing to the Semifinals in Sulphur, Friday, May 2nd will be a virtual learning day for LHS. The Lady Tigers play Mangham at 2:30 Friday afternoon.

Our Biology students "Rolled" right on into their last session of their EOC test this morning. A special thank you to Coach Coburn's Mom, Mrs. Deania McMillian for coming back to help serve cinnamon rolls and speak encouragement over our students before their test.



Our kindergarteners enjoyed a field trip to the local library and sheriff’s substation here in Logansport today! They enjoyed story hour, coloring, and snacks at the library. At the substation, they learned more about the roles of law enforcement. Thank you to the Desoto Parish Library and Desoto Parish Sheriff’s Department for hosting us and helping our students learn more about our community!











Just a friendly reminder that there is no parking behind the school for the softball game tonight. Please use the Elementary Gym parking and in front of the school. Let's pack the park for and cheer on our Lady Tigers as they host district foe Montgomery in Quarterfinal action. The winner punches their ticket to Sulphur!

Welding students from LHS participated in the Panola Jr. College welding competition. 1st place was Drake Deutsch who won a Miller welding machine ,welding hood, PPE and a $1500 scholarship. 3rd place was Ryan Morton who won a speaker box & various PPE. #TigerPride #DeSotoStrong

Our K-3 Tigers wrapped up their state Dibels testing and we couldn't be prouder of their growth and overall results! 73% of our K-3 population are reading at grade level or above - look at the growth from last year! Also, 84% of 3rd grade scored above benchmark!!! This is a testiment to the committment of excellence from our students as well as our teachers. #TigerPride


📝📚State Testing Starts Tomorrow! 📚📝
Over the next 3 weeks, our students will be taking their State Tests in grades 3rd -8th as well as our High School students. See the attached graphic for dates & grade levels. Here are some tips to help them be successful:

Due to construction, there will be no parking the back for baseball & softball games. Please use the parking in front of the Elementary Gym and follow the paved walkway to the fields. For today's home baseball game at 3:30, please be mindful that our Elementary car pick up line doesn't clear until about 3:05-3:10pm. Let's pack Tiger Park and cheer on our Tigers!

This is a reminder that tomorrow starts DIBELS testing for 2nd and 3rd grade. Please be on the lookout for your child's flower if you have not completed it already.

LHS students covered over 5 miles of roads around Logansport on Thursday, April 10th for Love the Boot Week. In total, they picked up 22 55-gallon bags of litter and 8 bags of recyclables.
