Today LHS celebrated Black History Month with our annual program. Thank you Dr. Gretchen Petterway for being our special guest speaker. Also, thank you to the student's and teacher's who helped put it all together.







Today was "Read A Book With A Friend Day" at LHS. Thank you to our students who took time to go read to a class. Also, thank you to Mrs. Diane Pitts, Children's Librarian at our Logansport Library and retired LHS Teacher Mrs. Markham for taking time to come read to our students.








LHS and our Unstoppables Club hosted the annual DeSoto SWSD Valentine Party before leaving for break.







Before break our LHS family celebrated Mardi Gras with our annual parade.

Our boys basketball team will travel to South Plaquemine for 1st round basketball playoff action. Tip off is 6pm & admission is $10.

When we return from Winter Break, we will be celebrating Read Across America week. Here are the dress days for PK-5.


The countdown to Winter Break is on!!! We hope all of our Tigers have a wonderful, safe and restful Winter Break. We will see you all back on Monday, Feb. 26th!

1st grade students earned a cupcake and pizza party for earning their AR goals today!



LHS went red today in memory of Walker Pickett. Walker was a student at Converse, who died in a car accident earlier in the week.







LHS Counselors were celebrated this week for COUNSELOR APPRECIATION WEEK. Thank you for all you do Mrs. Bush, Mrs. Kasey, Mrs. Jasmine & Dr. Sonya Poole!



There will be no extended school day today.

Tomorrow LHS students may wear red shirts in memory of Walker Pickett.


Yearbook retakes are scheduled for Feb 13th! School uniforms must be worn for pictures.
