NDLE invites you to our Family Literacy Night on Tuesday, March 4 at 5:30. March 2-8 is Read Across America Week which celebrates Dr. Seuss' birthday and encourages families to read together. Come join us for and evening full of games, fun and food trucks at NDLE!
The Campus wide Mardi Gras parade has been moved to Monday, March 3 at 9:30 instead of Tuesday. There is a chance for severe weather on Tuesday.
NDLE Booster Club' s monthly meeting is on Monday, March 3 at 3:15 pm in the NDLE Multipurpose Room. Enter through the front office. New members are welcome at every meeting! Come join the Booster Club and learn about the many ways to get involved at NDLE!
Popcorn will be delivered on March 19. We will offer the following pickup times:

Friday, March 21st 9-2 and 3:30-5

Our NDLE First Graders brought all the Mardi Gras vibes this morning! In the Bayou Bridges Social Studies curriculum, First Graders learn about Louisiana's History and one of the best traditions in Louisiana is Mardi Gras! Happy Winter Break, Little Griffins! NDLE will be closed on February 17-21 and SPT Conferences are on Monday, February 24. We will be happy to see students back on Tuesday, February 25th!

If you haven't seen Coach Barbo and Mrs. Burford on Grandparents Day, you are missing out. They are national treasures on the mic 😆. Thanks for all the Grandparents, Red Coats, Booster Club volunteers, and parents for making this such a fun day! Also, thank you for buying books at the book fair. A portion of the profits comes back to the school for Mrs. Odom to update items in the library. Have a great Winter Break!
Reminder: NDLE students can wear Valentine shirts or colors with uniform bottoms on Thursday, Feb. 13 and Friday, Feb. 14.
PreK Roundup begins February 14. ALL REGISTRATION CAN BE DONE ONLINE at desotoreadystart.com PreK-4 students must be 4 by September 30, 2025 to register. In person Round up will be at NDLE on March 6, 12:00-3:00. If your child has developmental delays or is part of the foster program, contact Tina Anderson prior to in person registration.
