Mark your calendars! Grandparents Day is Friday, February 14th. All grades will start with an assembly in the gym. Each grade level has a different start time.
Kindergarten assembly start time 8:00-8:30
PreK assembly start time 8:50-9:20
First grade assembly start time 9:40-10:10
Siblings will go with the grade of the youngest students. Please let your child's teacher know if this will be the case for your family. Grandparents will leave the assembly and follow their student to their teacher's classroom to sign them out for the activities. If your child will remain at school, they can be returned to their classroom. If your child is being checked out, they can leave with the grandparent after their last activity.

NDLE would love to thank Mrs. Bonnie Canton, DeSoto Parish Product, for presenting her Capstone Project during Cluster. The NDLE Booster Club will sell concessions on Friday, January 31st. The Booster Club uses all of the funds raised from events like this to buy items for our students and make school improvements. This year Booster Club has replenished P.E. equipment, bought new playground equipment for the PreK play area, and have provided funds when the school needs it for our many events. Thank you Booster Club and all of your wonderful volunteers!

We are in need of new or gently used boy's uniform bottoms in sizes 4-8. You may donate items in the office or send them to school in your child's backpack.

Mrs. Odom announced this week's Accelerated Reader achievement awards this morning. We had lots get their 10 point button, some 20, 30, 40, and 50 point buttons as well. But only one of our first graders has reached 100 points! Way to go! 👑

Friday, Jan. 31st is when all grade levels will celebrate the 100th day of school. Check ROOMs for communication from your teacher about what your child's class will be doing on that day. Different teachers/grade levels wear and do different activities.

Little Griffin Family, Our first grade students want to serve others by collecting items for the victims of the California wildfires. The following items can be brought to your child's teacher by January 31st: Warm Clothing, Hygiene Products, Blankets, Towels, N95 and P100 Masks, Batteries, Non-perishable food, Extra Eyeglasses, Contact Solution, First Aid Supplies, Dog & Cat Food, Meal Replacement Bars & Drinks. Any grade level can participate. Our Kindergarten classes picked one student from each class to represent them at our first ever "Alphabet Bee"🐝 this morning. Students identified letters, consonant-vowel-consonant words, high frequency words, wrote words and spelled words aloud to get the top three finalists. We are so proud of these students and their #HighPerformance! Stay tuned...First Grade has a Spelling Bee scheduled for April!
