Come meet the Wrestlers and help kick the Season off!

How would the funds from the North DeSoto Bond Plan be spent? More than 75% of the plan is dedicated to educational and academic spaces which impact every student.

Our students who raised the most money for our popcorn fundraiser were rewarded on Monday with bounce houses, sno cones, and pizza.

First grade students enjoyed meeting some community helpers today!

The bond plan would impact learners of all ages in the North DeSoto area! High school students would have a future-focused learning environment, middle school students would have amazing lab and career spaces by moving into the current high school, elementary students would see smaller class sizes and get more one-on-one time with teachers, and our three and four year old PreK programs would be able to accommodate more young learners instead of having a waitlist.

The cost to the taxpayer depends on the value of your home. For example, a $300,000 home in District No. 2 (North DeSoto) with a homestead exemption of $75,000 would have an adjusted taxable value of $225,000 which would be assessed at 10%. The increase from a millage of 3.6 to 34 would result in an annual increase of $684 per year or $57 per month. Download the new Fact Sheet for more information!

The bond plan is about more than just the high school! Additions were made in 2014 at the upper elementary and middle schools and those spaces are now full. While other schools in the area have seen a push for lower class sizes at the elementary level, North DeSoto Lower and Upper Elementary Schools cannot have class sizes decrease further due to space constraints. The plan takes all grade levels into consideration so that students thrive.

The DeSoto Parish School Board is dedicated to being a good steward of taxpayer dollars and is committed to using resources to provide excellent educational opportunities for all students. The November, 2023 bond election will allow voters in the North DeSoto area to decide on a $130 million proposal that would expand and provide adequate facilities and space to serve a rapidly growing community across all grade levels.
