Next week, May 3-7, is TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK!!!
Our PTA/NDLE Booster club has some things planned for our teachers next week. Please reach out to the President, Mrs. Stormy Cooper, if you are able to volunteer. They need help! Also, here is our weekly plan for next week.
Monday- Send love to your teacher by writing them a note or poem.
Tuesday- Draw a beautiful picture of you and your teacher.
Wednesday- Dress like your teacher and bring her some supplies! (Germ-x, Tissues, Paper Towels, etc.)
Thursday- Bring their favorite drink!
Friday- Sweetness Spirit Day! Jeans and Spirit shirts for everyone and treat your teacher with her favorite snack!

NDLE: Cookie Dough update:
We actually sold $62,120 of cookie dough. This total includes the online orders that were shipped to customers homes. WOW!! Also, due to machines being down at the Cookie Dough Factory, delivery was pushed to the week of April 26th.
Cash Prizes will be announced next week but we did increase the amount due to such a great sale!
1st place: $200
2nd place: $200
3rd place: $100
Drawing (anyone that sold over 12 items): $100
NDLE: Our awesome Little Griffins sold 3,002 tubs of cookie dough!!! That totaled to $60,040!!!! This is the best sale we have ever had! Thank you all for helping us raise money for our school. We will get 40% of the money raised which will help us in many ways!! Also, the prizes for most sold will be announced later this week.
The cookie dough will be delivered some time next week. #NDLE

NDLE: How about those NDLE PK Scholars presenting their product designs, during Social Learning, and discussing edits and modifications to make their products better! Moving into Science, these young Engineers, Scientists, and Doctors were learning and showing what they know about Centrifugal Force without spilling one "drop" of water on the floor! We are so proud of the hard work of our teachers and students in ensuring they can #dreamit, #believeit, & #achieveit
NDLE: It is awesome having a dedicated Lower Elementary School Counselor that can help NDLE Students work through emotions when big things are going on. We are praying for and have our little friend in our hearts. We appreciate you Mrs. Austin!!

North DeSoto Lower Elementary recognized National Down Syndrome Day and showed our love and support to our friends by wearing "Crazy Socks" and "Blue" and "Yellow" Shirts. National Down Syndrome Day is observed globally on March 21 (3.21) yearly. Trisomy 21 is the clinical way of saying Down Syndrome, which is the third copy on the 21st Chromosome. In a person without Down syndrome, there are 46 Chromosomes in the human body. Individuals with Down Syndrome have an extra Chromosome, equaling 47.
