6th grade ELA dives into elements of plot with a fun twist! Using an episode of Boy Meets World, they’re practicing the plot diagram — breaking down exposition, conflict, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. It’s all about strengthening comprehension and critical thinking in an engaging, relatable way!

Farmer and Delgado’s classes combined to solve problems through productive struggle! Students helped each other solve a complex problem and gave feedback to each other. They then reflected on the Math they learned as well as what they learned that might help them later in life!

Judge McCartney introduced how a court system works to Ms. McClain’s Career Exploration WiN by having the students participate in a mock trial. Judge McCartney brought scenarios and gave the students jobs of being the defense, prosecutors, and judges.

Shout out to our NDMS Mighty Griffin Jazz Band that performed at Saturday's 21st Annual Highland Jazz & Blues Festival in Shreveport's Columbia Park. They are the very first middle school jazz band to ever perform at the Highland Jazz & Blues Festival and the first band to ever play on their brand new, third stage called the Inspiration Stage! Our very own Ms. Craig also performed with the headline act, Kenny Neal. Way to go, Griffins!!
