Attention Families! There is a change of plans for NDLE Field Day due to the weather forecast. All PreK will be 8:30-9:30 in the gym. Kindergarten is 9:45-10:45. Young, Meserole, Webb, Simmons, and Northcutt in the gym. Turner, Jones, Holsomback, Bates will be in the multipurpose room. First Grade is 11:00-12:00. Warren, Wheeler, Eubanks, Chambers, Burford in the gym. Anderson, Bickham, Fogleman, Register in the multipurpose room. Mrs. Hasty's class 8:15-9:15 in the multipurpose room.

The cost to the taxpayer depends on the value of your home. For example, a $300,000 home in District No. 2 (North DeSoto) with a homestead exemption of $75,000 would have an adjusted taxable value of $225,000 which would be assessed at 10%. The increase from a millage of 3.6 to 22 would result in an annual increase of $414 per year or $34.50 per month.

Reminder that NDLE Field Day on Friday, March 22!
PreK-4, Kindergarten, and First grade classes will have Field Day at NDHS Griffin Stadium 10:00-11:30. Parents and families are welcome to come watch the games from the track or the stands.
Mrs. Hasty’s PreK-3, Mrs. Carpenter and Procell's ECSE classes will have a different schedule and location. Contact those teachers directly for questions.
All students need to wear athletic bottoms and shoes. They will wear their class shirt for Field Day.
Please tell your teacher if you plan to check your child out after Field Day so they can bring their backpacks to Griffin Stadium.
The April 2024 proposal is significantly reduced in costs at $85.2 million with a millage rate of 22. The plan proposes the construction of a new high school and upgrades to the lower elementary which would be combined with reconfiguring grade levels across current facilities.

In December 2023, more than 600 community members participated in a survey to gather more information about the election results and priorities for a solution. Respondents overwhelmingly felt that the 2023 bond was too expensive for taxpayers and that they wanted to see a solution that was less than $100 million with more details available.
