Hi NDLE Parents! Don't forget to pre-order your jambalaya plates by January 24th. Plates will be ready for pick up at our Mardi Gras Literacy Night on February 8th, 5:30-7:30. Come by the office or send your order form and payment in your child's folder.

PTA is having a t-shirt design contest for their spirit shirts. A template is coming home in student folders either today or Monday. The template is an ND that students can decorate, add a background, or add any other decorations they want. The design must use only 3 colors, red, navy and black. If you would like to do an original design, you are welcome to. Each class will vote for their favorite design, then we will open up school wide voting. We will choose the top 3-5 designs to post on Facebook for voting. Designs are due Tuesday January 23. If you do not get your template today, you can draw your own large ND and decorate it or come up with your own design.

In case you missed it on the Monday Memo... Santa will be here TOMORROW, December 6th, for pictures. You do not have to prepay for these pictures; everyone will get to see Santa and take a picture. Students may wear Christmas attire for their pictures!

The Kona Ice truck will be parked outside the NDLE cafeteria on Friday, December 8. Students can purchase snow cones for $3 after lunch. Please send 3$ with your child in an envelope or ziplock bag labelled with their name, teachers name, and Kona Ice.

First Graders will perform the musical ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas by: Albrecht and Althouse. All first grade students who plan to perform will wear Christmas pajamas. We have lots of jackets in our lost and found. Parents you are welcome to come look for your students lost items any time. The lost and found rack is in the lobby.

While the Bond funds are largely focused on a new high school facility, the impact would be felt across all North DeSoto schools. High school students would have a future-focused learning environment, middle school students would have amazing lab and career spaces by moving into the current high school, elementary students would see smaller class sizes and get more one-on-one time with teachers, and the three- and four-year-old PreK programs would be able to accommodate more young learners instead of having a waitlist. https://www.desotopsb.com/page/the-plan-north-desoto
