Homecoming week - day #2 - dress code: Top Gun Disney/superhero (not required to wear uniforms). NO spaghetti straps, crop tops, baggy or sagging pants/shorts, foul or offensive language or images, shorts or skirts must be dress code length (front and back), no bare mid drifts allowed, no tight articles of clothing, leggings acceptable under appropriate shorts or skirts (NO cut off or jean/denim shorts allowed). If wearing sweatpants or jeans - NO rips, holes, frays, tears, or the appearance of them on the legs of the jeans/pants. The Service WIN class will begin making some crafts for a local nursing home when we return from Fall Break. During the next couple of weeks we are asking that you save any of your empty cans from home for a particular project that we are wanting to complete. Please bring them washed and tops/bottoms removed if possible!! Attached is a picture of what will be made so you will have an idea of the size of the cans needed. Please, nothing too large or small!

Help NDMS football STOMP the STALLIONS tomorrow, our first home game, against CMM beginning @ 5 PM. Students may dress in western attire (be mindful of DeSoto Parish dress code ). Jeans may not have rips, tears, frays, holes, or the APPEARANCE of rips, tears, frays, or holes.

DeSoto 4-H Sewing Club is open to all DeSoto 4-H members ages 9-19, regardless of sewing experience. Youth will learn the basics of sewing utilizing sewing machines. If you or your family has a sewing machine, please bring it. If you do not have a sewing machine, that’s okay also! We have sewing machines for you to borrow while you are here.
Sewing Club meets every 3rd Thursday of the month at 5:30pm at the DeSoto Extension Office in Grand Cane.
Students must be currently enrolled in 4-H. See Mrs. Cummings before school or between classes if you would like to join 4-H.
