Recently, two of our own represented Stanley with pride at the Louisiana SkillsUSA Championships!
🏅 Tyler Binning finished 7th
🏅 Kaden Nance placed 8th
Out of 18 skilled competitors who qualified for the State Competition, both students showcased their talent and hard work in a rigorous challenge involving:
✅ Multiple welding processes
✅ Procedure and welding plan adherence
✅ Online skills testing
✅ Resumes
✅ Safety protocols

Today the Stanley Panthers kicked off our LEAP Testing with a Pep Rally. Our teachers and students worked hard to prepare for today. It was truly a success. We even had our Superintendent Mr. Corley come by and give our kids some awesome advice. We had dancing, singing, and testing cheers! Not to forget our very own J-Will gave our students some really good tips on preparing for the test. SHS students are ready to tackle the LEAP test next week! #DeSotoDifference #StanleyProud 💙🤍

Please check your child's backpack/folder today when they get home from school. We are sending home a gallon bag with a small note and a paper heart in it. The note will explain what to do with these hearts. -SHS
Our SHS Welding Team competed in the FFA Area 2 Career Development Events at Northwestern State on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025. Stanley placed 5th in Welding as a Team. K. Nance placed 6th overall individual. The teams were K. Nance and T. Binning, R. Belcher and R. Hubier.

**Just a reminder**
Spring Pictures will be Wednesday, March 19th. Only students purchasing pictures will be called to take pictures and they may wear street clothes. Softball and Baseball pictures will also be this day. Order forms were sent home March 10th.
