Mansfield Elementary School proudly announces extraordinary literacy growth for the 2024-2025 school year, as demonstrated by student performance on the Louisiana Department of Education’s Universal Literacy Screener. The assessment, mandated by Act 520 and measured by the DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills) tool, highlights Mansfield Elementary’s continued commitment to academic excellence in early literacy.
From the beginning-of-year (BOY) to end-of-year (EOY) screener, Mansfield Elementary students in grades K-2 achieved remarkable gains, significantly outpacing both district and state averages. These gains reflect the hard work and dedication of students, teachers, school leaders, and families.

These results place Mansfield Elementary as a leader not only within DeSoto Parish but across the state. The school’s performance directly contributes to the district’s overarching literacy goals and reinforces the importance of early reading proficiency as a foundation for lifelong learning.
