NDLE car drop off is from 7:10-7:40. Parents must walk students to the front door after 7:40. Breakfast ends at 7:40. Class begins at 7:40. Parents must sign students in at the office after the tardy bell at 7:45. PreK 3 drop off begins after PK4, K, and 1st grade drop off ends.

Featured Frequently Asked Question: When would a new school be completed and the new configuration of facilities take place? If approved by voters in November of 2023, the project would be ready for construction in late summer of 2024 with plans to open to students in 2026. This two-year construction period would help to facilitate a smooth transition for our students at grade levels currently experiencing overcrowding as they transition into middle and high school.

November 18th ND Bond

The Bond plan would directly impact North DeSoto Lower Elementary School! The plan includes additional spaces to house our PreK programs and would create more space to allow class sizes to be reduced to the parish standard of 18:1 student to teacher ratio. While other schools in the area have seen a push for lower class sizes at the elementary level, we cannot have comparable class size decreases because of space constraints. https://www.desotopsb.com/page/north-desoto-bond-2023

Students will shop for books during their library enrichment time at the annual Book Fair the week of October 23-26. Please send money in a labeled envelope or bag with your child's name, teacher's name and Book Fair. Friday classes will shop earlier in the week.

Our annual NDLE Book Parade is Friday, Oct. 27 at 9:00 am. Parents, families, and friends are invited to attend. The students will dress as a character from their class book and parade around all ND schools on campus. We hope to see you there!

The Kona Ice truck will be parked outside the NDLE cafeteria on Friday, October 20. Students can purchase snow cones for $3 after lunch. Please send 3$ with your child in an envelope or ziplock bag labelled with their name, teachers name, and Kona Ice.

Monster Mash Math Night on October 26th! Your teachers will have math carnival games planned, the book fair will be open in the library, there will be a LIVE petting zoo, an obstacle course, and MUCH more! Food trucks and other vendors will have food and goodies available for purchase!

NDLE students can pay $2 to wear athletic wear on Oct. 19. This is a fundraiser for PTA. Forms for athletic wear and Boo Grams will be sent home in student folders today.
