Happy School Lunch Hero Day!

Today we want to shine a spotlight on the amazing members of our cafeteria team! Every day, they work hard to make sure our students are fueled and ready to learn—serving not just meals, but also kindness, smiles, and encouragement. From early mornings to busy lunch lines, their dedication makes a big difference in the lives of our students.

Thank you for all you do to nourish bodies and feed minds. We appreciate you!

NDUE sends a big shout out to Layton Waggoner! He played in the 11u Select Series Tournament this past weekend, and he was the team MVP, hit a grand slam, and went 4-4 at the plate! Way to go bud! #LEADlikeaGriffin

Tomorrow Streetcar Snoballs will be at NDUE after lunch for our testing incentive celebration. Students may purchase a snoball for $4.

As some may have heard, the State Softball Tournament has been postponed and will now begin on Saturday. Friday, May 1st will remain a virtual day for all ND schools.

Our FCA is taking part in the National Night of Prayer at NDMS on May 7, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. All community members and families are welcome to join! #LEADlikeaGriffin

The calendar says there are only 4 weeks left of the 2025-26 school year! Every student deserves a chance to learn, grow and succeed! Schools in DeSoto Parish are working together with families so that our students are going to #FinishStrong by being present, ready to learn, and getting the help they need when challenges arise. Make a plan to Finish Strong with strong attendance! #AttendanceMatters

NDUE's Room 101 is celebrating National Bus Drivers Appreciation Day! We are so grateful for our bus drivers and all they do to get our students to and from home safely! #LEADlikeaGriffin

LEAP Testing starts tomorrow. Here is the schedule for the next two weeks and a few tips to help keep our friends ready to give their best effort! #LEADlikeaGriffin

We want to give a big shout-out to Ryland Jennings and his team the LA Prospects for winning the Prospects Showdown this past weekend! Way to go Ryland! We are proud of you buddy! #LEADlikeaGriffin

NDUE's Field Day is May 15th! We will start at 8:30 a.m. on the NDHS Football Field! All parents are invited to attend; however you must stay on the track while spectating. Please see the graphic for more information!

Congrats to NDUE's Jaxton Juneau, Oaklen Willams, Graysen Payne, Jakaidon Holmes, Ryland Patterson, Kayden Vig, and the rest of the Louisiana Bombers for winning 1st place in the Blanchard Shriners Tournament! Way to go boys! #LEADlikeaGriffin

Congratulations to NDHS Softball for advancing to the State Tournament. DeSoto Parish Schools will be well represented in the LHSAA State Tournament, with Stanely and Logansport also playing in the Semifinal Games in their respective divisions! Congrats to all 3 teams. DESOTO STRONG!!!

All ND schools will be closed, and instruction will take place virtually on FRIDAY, May 1st, to allow for staff and families to attend the State Tournament. Teachers will send home & post virtual assignments on Thursday. Geaux Griffins!

NDUE's FCA students have set up Prayer Lockers in each grade level hallway! Any student who chooses can write a prayer request and drop it in the box inside of the Prayer Locker! FCA leaders will pray over all prayer requests each week. Way to find your voice and put it into action friends! #LEADlikeaGriffin

Mrs. Waller's kids researched immigrants and did a great job presenting their knowledge to their classmates! They worked together to speak confidently and gave specific feedback to their peers. ❤️💙

Shout out to NDUE's Emerson Dufour and Marlee Sharrow for performing in the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet’s “Peter and the Wolf”! Their role was the "hunters". These ladies' passion is dance, and we are so proud of them for chasing their dreams! Way to go girls! #LEADlikeaGriffin
