About DeSoto Parish Schools

DeSoto Parish is located in northwest Louisiana, with a population of approximately 26,500.

DeSoto Parish School System has 10 schools throughout the parish with an enrollment of over 5,100 students. 

Logansport High School, grades PK-12, is located in the town of Logansport, which is in the western part of the parish, bordering the Texas state line.

Mansfield Elementary, Mansfield Middle and Mansfield High Schools are all located in Mansfield, which is the DeSoto Parish seat.

North DeSoto Lower Elementary, grades PK-1, North DeSoto Upper Elementary, grades 2-5, North DeSoto Middle, grades 6-8, and North DeSoto High, grades 9-12, Schools are all located in the town of Stonewall, in the northern part of the parish.

Stanley High School, grades PK-12, is located in the Stanley community, between Logansport and Mansfield on Highway 84.

DeSoto Schools’ Grace House, alternative campus, is located in Grand Cane, between Mansfield and Stonewall near Highway 171.

DeSoto Parish School System is very proud of recent successes:

“A” rated district (2016,2017)

Ranked 9th of Louisiana’s 70 school systems.

Cohort graduation rate is 94%

All schools are “Academically Acceptable” (no failing schools)
