DeSoto Serves to make a difference in the lives of our students by instilling a sense of community and responsibility, providing a positive and collaborative culture, and promoting excellence through innovative educational experiences and service to others.
To make a difference in the lives of our students, we understand that it is essential to provide a wide range of opportunities for all students. Each school has a wide set of offerings in our various advanced studies pathways for students to earn college-level credit and prepare them for post-secondary education.
DeSoto School also recognizes that every student is a career student and that Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses play a vital role in preparing students for life after graduation. All campuses offer a wide range of CTE courses that help meet the interests of our students and meet the needs of employers across the state. Whether a student is planning on going to a traditional 4-year college, a community college, or straight to work, our goal is to provide them with the skills they need to be successful.
In addition to preparing students for life after high school, the DeSoto Occupational Vocational Education (D.O.V.E) program is a transition program designed to assist students on the LEAP Connect Diploma Pathway to acquire the skills needed to live, work, and engage in recreation activities in a variety of settings in his/her community and function as independently as possible in society as students transition from school to adulthood.
