We are excited to have Mr. Peyton Dufour join our administrative team as the Coordinator of Communications & Family and Community Engagement. Mr. Dufour is a product of the DeSoto Parish School System, and a graduate of Mansfield High School. He has also been a classroom teacher at Mansfield High School for the past seven years, and taught in the Red River Parish School System for two years. Mr. Dufour graduated from Centenary College with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing and also obtained a Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
He is married to his wife of nine years, Kristen Dufour, who is a fifth grade ELA teacher at North DeSoto Upper Elementary. Together they have two children; a daughter, Emerson, 6 and a son, Benjamin, 3.
When Mr. Dufour was asked about what excites him the most about working with the families of DeSoto Parish, he responded by saying, “The families and students of each of our school campuses are the four pillars of our community, I am honored to serve in a capacity where I can work with each of our schools communities and stakeholders to support families in their educational needs, and continue to form strong relationships that will foster the value of our mission.”
