The Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (LEAP) is designed to ensure students are on track for college or a career by measuring readiness in key academic areas. Proficiency in Algebra I signals that students are not only learning core content but also applying mathematical thinking in meaningful ways—setting the foundation for advanced math, science, and career and post-secondary opportunities beyond graduation from DeSoto Parish Schools.
