🇺🇸 Patriot Day | September 11
Today, DeSoto Parish Schools remembers the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honors the courage of the first responders and everyday heroes who answered the call to help, and holds in our hearts the families forever changed.
As we reflect on this day with a generation born after these events, we carry forward the lessons of compassion, service, and unity. May we honor those we remember through the care we show our neighbors and our commitment to one another.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Tomorrow, on Patriot Day, DeSoto Parish Schools will join our nation in remembering the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the courage of those who answered the call to help.
For our students, this day is history they learn through the stories we share. Together, we can help them understand the compassion, service, and unity that brought Americans together—and how to carry those values forward.
Please read Superintendent Clay Corley’s message below as we prepare to remember, honor, and reflect as a school community.
