The DeSoto Parish School Board is seeking qualified real estate brokers for an exciting opportunity! We are issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Real Estate Broker Services. Brokers must meet the following minimum qualifications: ✅ Licensed within the State of Louisiana ✅ Demonstrated experience in commercial property sales ✅ Proven ability to provide comprehensive market analysis, financial data, and sales strategies ✅ Strong local and regional business relationships ✅ Ability to complete the sale within 6 months from contract execution Electronic submissions can be sent to: melissa.ward@desotopsb.com All proposals must be received by 1:00 pm on October 21, 2024. Mr. Hall was recently selected to represent the State of Louisiana for Transportation Supervisors/Directors at the School Bus Fleet ConneX (SBFX) conference in Scottsdale, AZ. With 25 years of service in DeSoto Parish, Mr. Hall has worn many hats—Algebra/Geometry teacher, Coach, Assistant Principal, and for the last 7 years, our dedicated Transportation Supervisor. While he’s honored to be recognized as one of the Top Transportation Leaders, Mr. Hall humbly credits his TEAM for every success. He says, “The road to a good education starts with getting there,” and the real heroes are the Bus Operators, the mechanic staff, and his office team who work together to ensure the safe transport of DeSoto Parish’s precious cargo every day. As we approach National School Bus Safety Week (Oct 21-25), let’s recognize the vital role transportation plays in our students’ success. DeSoto Parish Schools Names Anesha Ross 2024-2025 Principal of the Year. DeSoto Parish Schools proudly announces that Ms. Anesha Ross, Principal of Mansfield High School, has been named the 2024-2025 DeSoto Parish Principal of the Year. A product of DeSoto Parish Schools herself, Ms. Ross has dedicated over a decade to advancing education and leadership within the district, making a lasting impact on both students and staff. Under Ms. Ross' leadership, Mansfield High School achieved its highest School Performance Score (SPS) in its history, 97.5, for the 2022-2023 school year. The school has maintained its "A" rating while experiencing significant improvements in academic performance for the 2023-2024 school year. Notably, Mansfield High School increased its SPS in five of the six core subject high school assessment areas.
