Today, as a school district, we stand united in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King’s dedication to the principles of love, compassion, and nonviolence inspires us all to work towards a better world. His commitment to freedom, equality, and the elimination of discrimination echoes through the halls of our schools, reminding us of the importance of unity, empathy, and understanding. Together, let's strive for a world where kindness, understanding, and respect prevail. #MLKDAY #MovingForwardTogether #DeSotoStrong

DeSoto Christmas Card
Dear DeSoto Parish Schools Family, As we enter a much anticipated and well-deserved break, I want to extend my warmest wishes for a wonderful holiday season. It’s a special time for us to pause, reflect on our collective journey, and share in the joy of our achievements. Our school system has always been committed to making a difference in the lives of our students, and this year has been a testament to that commitment. Together, we have developed a culture that values community, responsibility, and innovation in education. These principles have guided us in creating an environment where every student can thrive and excel. Our collective efforts have culminated in record-setting student achievement and district performance scores, celebrated by our recognition as the 3rd ranked school system in Louisiana. This remarkable accomplishment reflects the hard work, dedication, and spirit of our entire school community. As we celebrate these achievements, let us also remember the small, everyday moments that make a difference in the lives of our students. The support from our families, the dedication of our staff, and the enthusiasm of our students are the true drivers of our success. These contributions are what make our district unique and embody the essence of #TheDeSotoDifference. The holiday season is a time of joy and gratitude, and I am forever grateful for each one of you. Your passion and commitment have contributed to our high performance and nurtured a positive and caring culture that honors our small-town traditions. As you enjoy the holiday break, I hope you find time to rest, celebrate with loved ones, and reflect on our shared accomplishments. This break is not just a pause from our routine; it's an opportunity to rejuvenate and gather strength for the exciting challenges and opportunities that await us in the new year ahead. Thank you for being an essential part of our school system's family. Your efforts and achievements make us all proud to be part of DeSoto Parish Schools. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season! For Students’ Sake, Clay J. Corley Superintendent
